The latest thing in laundromats is pickup and delivery laundry service. What started this trend? Recently, people have been using Amazon to purchase their items, food delivery companies, grocery store delivery companies, and now we have laundry pickup and delivery. Although this has been the trend for the last couple of years, during the time of Covid, it's become even more popular.
We found that at the beginning of Covid, people were sheltering in place. And although laundromats were considered an essential business, many were still nervous about going to the laundromat. Overall, throughout the country, laundromat business was down by 30%. Part of it was because people weren't dressing up to go to work. The other part was that they were hesitant to go out until they were desperate.
So, many people who would never have used a laundry delivery service decided to give it a try. Many of us who offered this service decided to make it a no-contact delivery service. On our way to your home or business, we would text you that you were the next stop and ask you to put your clothing by your front door. Then we would knock, take your clothes and leave. We did the same thing when we delivered. We would text our customer, knock on the door and leave the bags of clothing by their front door. It was the safest way to do laundry during the pandemic.
We have always delivered to commercial customers because they can't break away from their business to bring in their dirty clothes. But we felt residential customers deserved the same help. Imagine, not having to wash your own clothing. Imagine not having to come down to drop off your wash and fold to our Rinse and Roll Laundry. Think of the time you will save! It can free up more time you devote to your job or more time to devote to your family.
Maybe Covid started you using our delivery service, but you'll have a hard time taking back this job. Life is too short!
